I have been asked over the years what makes a good relationship with your executive.
A good relationship with your executive is key. In order for the two of you to work as a team, that is pretty flawless, you have to have a good working relationship.
Here are a few points to help you:
Listen – Make sure you listen to the entire conversation. Don’t just pick out pieces. It is important to make sure you give your full attention to the conversation.
Communication – Make sure you are communicating with everyone that your executive is responsible for or has any interaction with. It is important that you are in the loop.
Time – Make the time to work on that special project for your executive. Schedule it and be sure to not let anything disturb you while you are completing it.
Stay Positive – Always stay positive side. Even if you are having a bad day stay as positive as possible.
Respect – Make sure that you have mutual respect between the two of you. You know where the line is and you don’t overstep. You also respect their privacy and guard it.
These are just a few things that will help you start on having a good working relationship with your executive.
