LOVING YOURSELF INTO GREATER HEIGHTS OF ACHIEVEMENT

Humans have amazing capabilities. The heights of human achievement are often celebrated in the singular categories that have been romanticized over time to be the most important or the most relevant. The problem with general classifications is, some aspects of the individual or the society are developed at the detriment of other aspects. Unfortunately, this causes an imbalance in the person's perception of themselves. For a community focused on a specific definition of beauty, it becomes quite difficult for a person, especially young people, who don't fit the social class to love or accept themselves.

Loving and accepting yourself, all of yourself, good and bad alike, comes with the best feeling ever. But there will be a price to pay; facing the aspects of yourself you aren't proud of, getting over social stereotypes, family and sometimes personal censure, to love you as a whole. Embrace your failures, own them and work through them to become a better version of you. A self-love is a fantastic tool on the journey to being a confident and fulfilled person.

An individual, for example, brought up in a society which focuses on the physical beauty, it’s quite easy to ignore every other aspect of self and focus entirely on trying to fit into the mold. Or, have you been a career driven person, whose belief system is towards building a professional skyscraper of a career, even when it suffocates your dreams and stifles creativity.

We are dedicated toward specific things and goals, which guide everything we do. Falling short of such goals might leave you feeling unworthy and deeply unhappy. Self-hate and self-loathing develop when you fail to recognize the fact that there is more to you than the aspect of your being that is holding you back.

Are you stuck in a career you have spent decades developing, and seem to have gotten to a dead end? Why not try something new? Challenge yourself to do something different. And you would be amazed at the results. Are you struggling with getting your degree? This could impact your self-confidence. But don't give up yet, there's more in you to be put into that course or that thesis.

There is more to you than meets the eye, and you can only discover these hidden aspects by going all-out. On the journey to building up your confidence, try something new, push yourself a little bit further, and be blown away by the capacity you have to achieve more. Challenge yourself; there is nothing wrong with that. You may surprise yourself to see how strong you are and what you can accomplish.

Get out of the dead-end relationship; it does not define you; no one defines you except if you allow them. You can make things happen on your own and for yourself, just push yourself to do so. Build up on your confidence, and find hidden reserves of strength and creativity that will take you to unprecedented heights. But most of all, don’t forget to love all of you, faults and all.
