Your Passion Is Your True Energy, So Why Do We Not Spend Time On Our Passion?

Your passion is what basically makes you who you are. It describes your innate and naturally endowed capabilities and the things that fuel your drive for a worthwhile life. It is the true energy that fuels your spirit and positions you to get what you want from life.

Pursuing your passion like most other things in life is not an easy task. Many stumbling blocks, obstacles, and challenges tend to make us either not discover our passion, or abandon them halfway.

Some of the culprits that fight our quest to discover our passion and use it to create the life of our dreams that is filled with opportunities and hope include:

  • Lack of Self-evaluation: It is a popular saying that an unexamined life is not worth living. Most people simply pass through life without searching deep into their hearts to ask questions that will tell them who they truly are. Lack of self-discovery will subdue whatever innate passions, talents and potentials that one has, and they will remain hidden until called up.

  • No Motivation: Necessity is the mother of invention, and most times, you may not be able to pursue your passion until a certain need propels you to do so. A low-quality life and inability to meet the necessities of life can propel one towards searching deep to find out a means of survival. Trying out the simple things that you are passionate about could land you a goldmine!

  • Loss of Focus: You may discover that your life is focused towards activities that you are not passionate about. Doing a job that is not satisfactory or enjoyable, pursuing a career that seems to leave you in a quagmire, or acquiring skills that you have no natural affinity towards, could kill your true passion and energy. The worst thing about this experience is that you spend all the time brooding about these unpleasant experiences that you may never discover your true passion.

  • Lack of Mentorship: Your passion could be subdued when you do not even realize that it can guarantee you a great life. Most times you are directed towards following your passion when you read or hear about the inspiring success stories of mentors. You may discover that people are creating the desired future for themselves by doing the simple things that you have a passion for.

Why Spend Time On Your Passion?

When you spend time pursuing and doing the things that you are passionate about, you will discover that your activities flow naturally and you do not struggle with them. You will able to achieve a lot with minimal input of time, energy, and resources. You will also discover that you rise rapidly in your endeavors and will be looked upon as a source of inspiration by others.

Spending time on your passion will make work seem as play – it will be both enjoyable and deeply satisfying. You will discover that you are being paid for doing the things you love to do, and of course, this is the best life to live!
