REBELS CAN BE KIND AND GENEROUS TOO

Okay, so everyone talks about how different you are from the others. From when you were a kid, you never liked being pushed about. At school, not only did you resist intimidation you fought with bullies who thought you were easy prey. You asked questions while every other person just nodded in agreement for fear of being punished. You became a member of different groups that fought for a worthy course. Yes, you are a Rebel! Hold up...just before you conclude that being a rebel means that you are bad and unacceptable, you need to know that every individual who wants to live a life of purpose embarks on a rebellious journey. Many people fail to reflect on what they need to live a life of purpose. Hence they simply exist. For you to live a purposeful life, you must be brave and courageous. So it's okay to be labeled a rebel as long as you are walking your own path and fulfilling your purpose in life. Being a rebel does not suggest that you have to be mean and hateful. As a matter of fact, to live a life of purpose you need to be kind and generous. It will be wrong for you to think that people around you have nothing good to offer. If you think of the world as a hostile place, you will feel hostility everywhere around you. But if you think of it as a friendly place, you will feel the love and support of others.

Although you do not need people’s approval to live a life of purpose, you certainly need to feel supported on your path. What you give to the world is what you get in return. So if you project positive thoughts and actions out into the world, you will feel the love, care, and support of others even though you walk different paths. Regardless of what your purpose in life is, you definitely want to be happy. Performing acts of kindness towards others brings joy and satisfaction. You will be doing yourself a favor and making your rebellious journey easier when you appreciate people around you and show them, love. Not only will they learn to accept you for who you are and what you do but they will also be willing to extend a helping hand when the going gets tough. Showing kindness and giving to others makes you a better person, not a weakling. Rebels are strong; rebels smile in the face of pain, rebels fight for others, rebels hold on to their beliefs. You need to understand that whether or not people support your course, you must be kind and generous. Not because you want their approval but because you want you to want to live a happy life.

People who are hateful and mean live a life of pain and misery. Yes, you unknowingly hurt yourself when you cause others pain. But when you put a smile on the face of another, you boost your self-confidence, your life has greater meaning, and you feel worthy.

So start now to live a life of purpose by being kind and generous.
