Learning to forgive is what truly makes your heart warm

We all want to be wrapped in the warmth hand of life and feel life’s true love. That’s true. We all want to have a taste of the purity of life and live without worries or any iota of it. That is possible, but not without a price. That price is that you must learn to forgive. Your heart will always wonder in thoughts, drifting from one point to the other and moving in ways that would make you feel like life is not worth living. At this point, it is time to take your mind on a tour through life. Take your mind on a tour through the lives you have led before where you now stand. When you have searched the pages of your mind, you will see some places you will need to dot some I’s and cross some T’s.

This is called reconciling with your life and with life itself. When you have found these places, then you should start learning to forgive. Forgive the past, forgive those who hurt you and most importantly, forgive yourself. The truth is, you do yourself more harm than good when you fail to forgive. You fill up your mind with thoughts that shouldn’t be and end up denying yourself the power over your mind. When you fail to forgive, you inadvertently bring into your heart such things as bitterness. Bitterness will eventually create room for anger and sadness. All of these would create negative thoughts in your heart that will keep you away from being truly happy.

When you occupy your mind with unforgiveness, it will deter the heart of love, and as you know, the absence of love means the presence of the opposite, hate. When you can no longer love because you have failed to learn to forgive, then you are bound always to be unhappy. All of these are undue pressures that you put on your heart. These pressures will eventually lead to not just emotional disorders, but also psychological, social and eventually physical illnesses. When the mind is sick, it is only a matter of time before it spreads to other areas of your whole being.

Failure to learn to forgive will lead to exhibiting specific anti-social behaviors such as aggression and fear. These will deter you from exploring the love you could get just by letting yourself relate to others. When you can no longer forgive, then you can hardly feel the warmth of life. Your heart will always feel cold or too hot, and these are patterns that will obviously ruin your life.

It is okay to feel bad when you are hurt by those around you or even worse by those you love, but you can always let yourself free from the shackles the hurt is trying to put you in just by forgiving them. Don’t take it personal with them, even though they took it personal with you. In the end, it is your heart that will lose its warmth if you don’t forgive.
