Don’t find time to relax, find time for yourself

Time and tide they say waits for no one. If you have thought you still have time maybe because you are still young, then you better wake up from that dream of yours before you get drowned in it. Because sooner than later you are going to wake up and realize that you have never had time. Then, you would see how wrong you were, and guilt will step in and take what is left of you to build the life you have left. You will never have time to do everything, but you will always have time to do one thing, the right thing.

Nothing hurts and hunts a man most than to realize that he had all the time to do the right thing but wasted it on all the wrong things until it became too late.

It’s okay to become comfortable, but not comfortable in discomfort. It is like relaxing at home with your roof on fire. It will burn you too. If you have achieved a feat, congratulate yourself, pour yourself some drink and smile at your accomplishment. But, most importantly, prepare for the next feat.

One day you will realize that there is no absolute end in life, everything in life is just means to a higher means. As one goal is accomplished, another begins. That’s the mind of great men. The end of a goal is the launching time for another goal. This therefore implies that the greatest enemy of tomorrow is the success of today. So, if you have succeeded today, then wake up and do more. Do not relax, always find time for yourself. Find time to keep that fire burning, find time to always reflect on what has been done and what is needed to be done. There will always be time to relax, but until then, you have got to keep working on yourself. Take a break when you have to, but don’t get too excited about it and forget what should be done.

I know a lot of people would say let me relax and while away time. Really? You did that yesterday, you are doing it today and you are definitely going to do it tomorrow. Some people do it at least twice a day before ever going to sleep at night. You are merely wasting your time. Relaxing when you have works to do and have not done anything tangible is killing your own time and eventually killing yourself. You are wasting the time you are supposed to use to add more meaning to yourself relaxing. It’s good to take a break from a busy day, week or month, but, not when you have done little or nothing that warrants it. You just have to push yourself even when you don’t feel like it. Just push yourself a little harder each day, and you will see how elastic you are. You will eventually break your yesterday’s limits and move up higher on the rungs of your ability.
