Don't make up an excuse just to get out of doing something

It is easy to say “it’s all going to stop with time,” but honestly, nothing is ever going to stop if you do not put an end to it. That means, if you are waiting for time to heal you, you may have to wait forever.

Sometimes you find yourself trying so hard to get out of doing something that you know has not been working and have no true future. This happens to a lot of people who have been so used to doing things in a particular way that has not been working. Even when they see that it has not been working, they just keep doing it all in the name of being hopeful and optimistic. Well, that is foolishness, and as a wise man once defined insanity as doing the same thing the same way and expecting a different result, they are just insane. There is no need to roam in circles because in circles every step you take forward will always lead back to where you started. You have to find a way to create a disconnection in the circle and stretch the road forward rather than curving back to itself.

If you wake up in the morning looking for excuses to not do what you are supposed to, you will always find tons of them. If you start asking yourself for excuses to keep doing what you have been doing and achieving no positive result, you will always find them. There are tons of excuses for inaction and laziness, but there is only one excuse to take that action and do what you are supposed to do. Now take these words seriously, Alexander Noble said “everything you say is a reason, but not every reason is an excuse, always find the reason that excuses you from doing what you want to do. But note that some actions are inexcusable.” Now, that’s some serious statement there. You will always have several reasons not to do what you are supposed to do, but you will always find one excuse to do what you need to do. Every other reason are the distractors. They are the voices in your head that tell, hey come on man you have to do this first; you have to do that first, just hold on to that. They are the voices that tell you that you are okay the way you are and you don’t have to beat yourself up. You don’t have to work yourself up.

Yeah, you don’t have to beat yourself up, and you don’t have to work yourself up. You just have to work yourself out of the situation. You see, no one is going to escort you out of it if you don’t. So, the less you start considering those voices, the faster you will be out there making life easier for yourself and those around you.

I like this guy, Beta Alexander Noble; he also said: “always do what you have to when you have to, not because you want to but because you have to.” If you are doing something good for yourself or someone, then turn a deafened ears to the distractors and pay no attention to the excuses that want you to stop doing what good you are doing, just keep on doing what you are doing.
