Being able to say thank you to yourself is the first step

Being able to say thank you to yourself is the first step in you truly working towards that goal and dream you have been thinking about.

It isn’t always easy achieving our dreams and goals, but the first step towards realizing it is by acknowledging our efforts and saying a big thank you to whoever is responsible for your achievement; even if it’s you.

There’s nothing wrong with commending yourself when you’ve done something right and deserve the approval. Being able to say thank you to yourself is the first step to genuinely working towards that goal and dream you have been thinking about; it’s all about priorities.

Everything you’ll ever achieve begins in the mind and heart. Dreaming is only the first step; going further and believing that what you imagined is actually possible is the next phase. Take the time to visualize what you want. While the saying, ‘Go big or go home,’ might seem daunting, in some cases it’s apt. Don’t allow negative thinking to prevent you from going the extra mile. It doesn’t matter if it hasn’t been done before; just be the first to do it right, and everyone else would follow suit.

Life is too short to let yourself feel unappreciated. Even if no one’s clapping for you, do it for yourself. Be your own cheerleader, because if you can’t do it for yourself, then how would you expect another person to do it for you?

When you believe in your dreams, visualizing and actualizing them would be the next step. Just picture yourself doing that which you’ve always fantasized about, and pretty soon your dream world would become a reality.

One major reason why lots of people’s dreams never go farther than their bedroom walls is because they keep it all to themselves. It’s either they’re too shy to tell others, or they just don’t feel confident enough in their dreams. If you’re serious about making it a reality, you must brave your fears of rejection and share it with someone first. Then maybe after that you could involve more people and get their responses.

Before your dream can actually become a reality, you have to form a plan for it. Everyone knows that you get what you plan for; there are no shortcuts in life. Do not just sit back and fold your arms and expect everything to fall into place after you’ve dreamed up what you feel is a revolutionary idea. You have to hash out the entire details and strategy before you can attempt to work on it. Set a timeline for yourself for accomplishing the process, and then begin to work diligently during that particular period.

Finally, when you’ve been able to actualize your goals and dreams, be sure to enjoy every single bit of it. Congratulate yourself on a job well done. And when you’re done basking in your accomplishments, go back to the drawing board and start all over again; but this time with a bigger and better idea.

Still, follow the same processes that you employed with the first dream, and work out the kinks of the new one; making sure that it becomes better than the last.
