What does it mean to be free? Being free is the opposite of being in shackles. When you are a prisoner, you will have no mind of your own. You will lack courage, boldness and everything in between. There are different forms of imprisonment, and the one we are concerned with is the mental imprisonment. Being bold is the opposite of being timid. Those who are bold keep a check on the timid subconsciously. Boldness Can Bring You Freedom When you are not bold, you will continue to suffer mental torture and imprisonment. When you cultivate boldness, you will get mental freedom which is one of the most satisfying things on earth. Boldness can help you gain and maintain your freedom. No one will be able to restrict a person who is bold. Freedom and boldness are related concepts. Boldness gives you the power to make requests that a lack of it might hinder you from making. Being bold gives you the freedom to walk up to a person you like and ask that person out on a date. However, there is a thin line between boldness and arrogance. You need to identify that line, so you will know when you're crossing it. Most people are timid in at least one aspect of their lives. This feeling comes from uncertainty. If you are certain of what is, you will not be timid. You will be bold. Boldness is related to self-perception. You need to elevate your sense of self. Believe in yourself, build yourself esteem and develop an unshakable feeling of certainty. This is what freedom is about, and this freedom comes from being bold. While experience and observation have a role to play in developing boldness, a high perception of self has a direct impact on your level of boldness. How To Deal With Feelings Of Uncertainty Certainty helps you develop boldness. However, there are cases where you will find difficulty maintaining certainty. Uncertainty can make crip in and eat you up. This can take away your boldness and your mental freedom. So, how do you deal with this? One thing you can do is make a list of those areas in your life that you display boldness and then a list of aspect that attracts timidity. Write down the reasons why you think you are bold/timid in each area you list. Write down what you have done to develop this boldness and what you can do to develop it in the areas where you are timid. Conclusion You, sometimes, have to be bold to gain the freedom you seek. Can you see the truth in this statement? Boldness is related to freedom and freedom is related to boldness. One is almost, always present when the other is present. If you want to be mentally free, you need to uncover what helps you stay bold and what makes you feel timid. Build on what you've learned and unlocked true freedom.
