HE GREATEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE YOURSELF IS TO KNOW YOU DO BELONG

It's easy to lose your sense of belonging when you're facing emotional challenges, or you feel alone. The first thing you need to remind yourself of is the fact that nothing is wrong with you. It is normal for you to feel that way because we are all social beings. Having a sense of belonging means feeling accepted as a part of a larger group. It is a physiological need just like the need for shelter and food. It is vital to see the value in your life. The most significant gift you can give to yourself is always to remember that you belong.

How can you develop your sense of belonging when you start feeling left out? You need to devote time and practice to build a sense of belonging. The first thing you can do is to look for the similarities you share with others rather than picking out only differences. Another thing you need to do is accept others the way they are. Always keep in mind that there is value to everyone's thought, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's true that loving your company is a good thing, but you also need to appreciate the time you spend with others. Associating with others from time to time is okay. Learn not to judge others. It is the only way you can freely accept them. If you are a person who is emotionally sensitive, try to keep in mind that others around you also suffer emotional pain. It may be more intense than what you feel, and it may be less severe. Either way, you're not the only one in pain. The fact that you are emotionally sensitive doesn't mean you don't belong. No matter how bad your situation is, there is always someone who is suffering more than you. You're not the only one who has been in such a difficult situation. Someone out there is going through worse pain than you. You don't need to beat yourself up, and you don't need to feel alone. Stop blaming yourself for the painful experiences and stop using negative words and phrases that condemn your self-image. Rather than blaming yourself and others for the painful experiences you have endured, you should readjust your mindset and see yourself as an expert in what you've been through. Learn from the experience and write down your thoughts. You can publish your experience online or on social media to help someone who is going through something similar. One way to create a sense of belonging is to help someone in need of emotional support. Impacting the life of another person positively with what you've learned from a bitter experience is encouraged. If you have been having feelings of rejection because of failed relationships, jobs or other things, you can use what you've learned to help others. You can state how you coped with rejection to inspire someone. Joining a social group of people who have experienced the same thing can be helpful. You'll be able to learn from them and teach them. You're more important than you think. You are part of a larger society that is made up of various organs that come together to make a whole. The best gift you can give yourself is to know you do belong to that society.
