Treating colleagues like they have no value or opinion is not the way for a company to grow and succeed, employees all have special gifts to offer it is up to you to use them to grow the company.

In the words of Richard Branson, a renowned entrepreneur, ‘your employees are your company’s real competitive advantage. They are the ones making the magic happen; so long as their needs are being met.” It is clear that satisfied employees are more productive and more efficient than those who are not. Satisfied employees tend to perform better in their specific roles, they are more productive, call in sick less often. Such employees feel empowered, appreciated and they are more loyal to the company. They stick around and they don’t go looking for employment elsewhere because they are doing fine where they are. Here is why you should treat your employees well:

Enhances productivity

When employees are engaged, represented and feel appreciated by their employer and the rest of the workforce, they feel motivated and will work harder. This means that they will be more efficient and more productive than ever. This will lead to better performance at the workplace, productivity and as a result,it will enable the company or organization to serve its customers better and achieve its objectives.

Increases loyalty and a sense of responsibility

Employees who are treated well by their workmates and senior management tend to share a sense of responsibility and loyalty towards the company or organization. The don’t care attitude exhibit by most employees who tend to only do their part is not experienced by employees who are satisfied. A satisfied employee will not just do his or her part but will go an extra mile to ensure that others are doing their best to improve the position of the organization and achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.

Brings harmony, cooperation and unity among employees

When employees treat each other well, with respect and dignity, there is bound to be unity, harmony, and corporation among the employees. When this is shared between the employers and the employees, there will be cooperation, the need to perform better and a sense of togetherness within that organization. This will lead to increased productivity, strong working relations and increased objectivity at the workplace.

Companies where employees are treated well and there is unity are known all over the world. Such companies attract top and the best talents quite easily because everyone wants to work and associate with such companies. The image of the company is improved because everyone knows how the employees are treated well, they are well paid, and they perform better. The company will always be among the top corporate bodies because of how the employees perform.
