HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND WHY IS IMPORTANT TO LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR

The medical doctors have always continued to support human lives in matters of health problems, and these problems have very strong connections with the conditions of the blood in the body. Blood is the fluid in both humans and animals that transports and delivers valuable substances needed for the cells in the body to function properly, and at the same time extracting the unwanted substance categorized as metabolic waste out of this same cells. The blood circulates the body through the channels of the blood vessels which acts as a route for the blood to reach the entire body, but its ability to do that requires the heart to work as a pumping mechanism for the circulation to take place. In connection with our respiratory process, the lungs release oxygen to the blood in the artery from the inhaled air which is carried to the cells and tissues, and at the same time the cells and tissues releases carbon dioxide as a waste product to the blood in the veins which also carries it back to the lungs for exhaling. Apart from transporting of oxygen, the blood also carries with it nutrients such as glucose, amino acids, fatty acid, etc.

For the blood to circulate the body, it requires a certain force to push it, and that force is what is referred to as Blood pressure (BP). It has medically been established that the normal blood pressure for an adult is something around 120/80 mm/Hg (millimeters of mercury). The blood pressure serves the purpose of sending blood effectively through all the channels in the body at regulated speed and different distances.

An abnormal blood pressure, has two reportedly common situations that arise, and these need serious medical attention which are either low blood pressure which is also called hypotension or the high blood pressure which is also called hypertension. The most common of the both is the high blood pressure, and it is mostly undetected at the initial stage because the body always seems to contain it there is lack of careful monitoring methods that can detect the early symptoms. The cases of high blood pressure that remain unattended and extend for longer times always tends to be extremely risky and usually result to many bad health conditions which include heart disease, stroke, kidney failure or the failure of any other vital organ, or eventually sudden death.

The need to be careful about our health makes it extremely important that we all get the guidance of a medical doctor, on the situations of symptoms of chest pains, backaches, severe headaches, etc. or any suspicion of discomfort inside the body. It is best to listen to the instructions of the doctor and follow their advice concerning the observations which they make in examining your body. There have been many cases of unannounced stroke and death because people choose to live off their assumptions and try to ignore the doctor’s advice; so to avoid bad health surprises, I have to tell you outrightly that you must listen to your doctor.
