Being confident is a process and it all starts with you. Sometimes you have to challenge yourself. Sometimes you have to stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone. Sometimes you must overcome the obstacles that you have been given to feel great.
Everyone can do this but the one thing that is the hardest to overcome is the thoughts we put in our own heads. We talk ourselves out of being confident by letting the negative thoughts take over. We convince ourselves we are not worthy, we are not strong enough, we are not good enough.
When you have someone, who puts negative thoughts into your head then you tell yourself that they must be true that is the harm you are doing to yourself. There will always be people out there that form an opinion about you before getting to know you and will beat down your confidence. It is up to you to not let yourself add the additional harm to break your confidence.
I personally have had to learn to not let the negative thoughts cause me to talk myself into believing them. It is hard it really is but when you have the will to accept the challenge of someone criticizing you and overcoming the obstacle the feeling of the accomplishment is what keeps you going.
You must believe in yourself and have the confidence in yourself that no matter what is thrown at you or said to you or about you that it is a challenge, an obstacle that you have been given, and that you can overcome it, and have even more confidence than before.
It is all about giving yourself the power to choose. The power to choose to not let others and yourself do more harm is the biggest obstacle you will face. It is so important for you to remember that you are strong and you have the confidence already inside you. Why? Because You Matter!
